What if the things that ended —the things that broke and break your heart— what if it was the end of a chapter but the story keeps going? What if life comes back? What if love comes back?

I’m starting to believe that the best is yet to be, that life comes back, that the dreams that live inside me are there for a reason, that life is not just a tragedy, not just a story about losing. It is also a story of surprises and grace and redemption, of conversations and moments that feel like miracles.

Lili is a bilingual Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who earned her master’s in counseling with a specialization in clinical mental health from Adler University. She completed her clinical internship at AMK Counseling, where she provided counseling to individuals experiencing a variety of difficulties, including anger, time management difficulties, motivation challenges, anxiety, depression, trauma, and familial issues. Lili also has extensive experience working with adolescents as a residential counselor.

Lili’s approach to therapy is collaborative. She views the client as the expert of their experience and strives to create a therapeutic environment that is authentic, trusting, and safe. Recognizing the triumphs and tribulations of therapy, Lili hopes that her clients come to trust her, as well as themselves, to move toward a better version of themselves. Her primary goal is to help clients achieve who they want to be and where they wish to go.

Lili is a firm believer that reclaiming our story can create growth and change to achieve our desired personal potential. She has a modern approach to therapy, using her knowledge to incorporate unique modalities that best suit the clients she is working with. In addition to her modern style, Lili borrows from the Narrative and Adlerian approaches to therapy. These approaches work in tandem to provide an in-depth approach to understanding the client and how best to support their therapeutic journey.

Lili values curiosity, acceptance, and authenticity. She is interested in working with clients who open themselves up to the difficult process of vulnerability. As a Latina, Lili has a personal understanding of the internal struggle that comes with seeking therapeutic services and hopes to provide a safe space for Latines to process at their own pace. She further aims to expand her clinical scope to include clients of multiple intersecting identities.

During her free time, Lili enjoys walking and discovering new coffee shops around Chicago. A big fan of almost any cooking show, you can be sure to find Lili watching the latest (or oldest) season of Top Chef to decompress after a hard day’s work. She is also an avid plant enthusiast, recently having resurrected a monstera deliciosa!
