Hali Cook, MED

Hali (hay-lee) holds a master’s in clinical mental health counseling from DePaul University and a bachelor’s in sociology from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He is deeply committed to fostering a warm and authentic space for clients from diverse backgrounds, challenging the stereotypical portrayals of therapy often seen in the media.

Hali uses a blend of cognitive behavioral techniques, mindfulness, and existential perspectives, tailoring his approach to meet the unique needs of each client. He believes in working at the client’s pace, ensuring they feel fully supported and understood throughout the therapeutic process.

As a Black man, Hali is keenly aware of systemic challenges and societal inequities. He recognizes that mental health is shaped not only by personal experiences but also by broader social influences. His approach integrates these factors, with the goal of helping individuals navigate life’s complexities and move toward positive growth.

Outside of the therapy space, Hali enjoys weightlifting, listening to hip-hop music, and exploring the city for what it has to offer.
